Picture 3 you say "from J2"... According to this manual, J2 is the P4 connector. But I see in a different pic J2 has nothing connected to it.
And what is not working? Details of exactly what's going on.

this setup worked on the bench. so I would guess there's something wrong with the way you're supplying 12V (either constant or switched) to the power supply. I bet you have, but I'm not sure if you've checked the simple stuff (no blown fuses, battery voltage, ignition signal voltage, kill switch not off, etc). I'm also not sure what pic3 is. Does that go to your M2?
hey, thanks, sorry went out for the weekend after i posted these pics, did check the voltages and the fuses, pic 3 is the kill switch.
car battery->inline fuse->kill switch->m2-atx->carputer
i believe its my wiring as well..from the kill switch to the carputer i benched so i'm thinking i do have it wired from the battery somehow..i would think its simple..but..obviously not??
have you checked for continuity on the switch itself? it could be a bad switch.
PS:in this sausage fest being a girl will only get you more brownie points not have you flamed so no worries.
lol thanks.. i did check the continuity on the switch itself. i initially had set the system up in the car. and verified that 12v was going into the m2, and at the fuse but not to the mobo, so i pulled everything out and got an atx power supply and followed what another member had did on here, and got the the m2 to work properly, it powered up the carputer, doubled checked how my j8 was plugged in and checked the jumpers for the shutdown and it worked right..then moved it all to the car again and have 12v switch going to the m2, and 12v unswitched when i turn the car on..just not getting to the carputer. anyone in arkansas by chance?? :) :) :)
For troubleshooting, eliminate the switch.
+12v constant direct from battery to red contact
+12v switched via ignition direct from dash to white contact
Ground direct from non-painted & non-corroded bolt through chassis to black contact
As mentioned, eliminating the switch is the first thing I would do now to troubleshoot. Are you sure you've wired the switch right?
Edit: switch looks like it could be wired right...but just maybe the ground was connected to the wrong terminal?
K i'll eliminate the switch i'm thinking about buying new wire and starting all over again..but won't be able to do it til wed/thursday this week will keep you guys posted.
hmm okay so i think my problem is i don't have the unswitched wire connected right. Was on the driveaccord.net forum and found a guy who had pics of how he spliced into the ignition key light to get power, so i went into my steering column thinking that the 2008/2009 honda accord wiring diagram should be similiar..not so much. guess everything will be on hold on this project til i can find some sort of wiring diagram for 2009 honda accords, OR there's some guy that knows enough about cars that can help me find the ign wire without blowing up my car..seems all the guys i know are computer geeks..hmmm..think i need to start hanging out with a different crowd..lol
thanks guys for all your help so far.
