    Dead M2-ATX???

    I was bench testing my power supply and PC setup and for a while everything seemed to be working correctly. While I was installing XP on the HD, I got the dreaded blue screen of death.

    Anyways, I haven't been able to get the motherboard powered since. The power supply I'm currently using for a 12 volt source is an old AT power supply. I've got the M2 wired up and I'm using my multimeter to test it.

    I've verified I'm getting 12v from my power supply. When I test the fuse on the M2, I'm getting the same 12v.

    When I test the ATX connector on the M2 or any of the other molex connectors, I'm not getting anything at all.

    The only two connectors I'm getting a reading on are pin 9 (+5VSB) and pin 14 (PS_ON). I'm not getting any reads from the other pins.

    Is the M2 fried or am I missing something? I'm going to try and get my hands on an ATX power supply so I can get the motherboard running again and the software installed but I'm eventually going to need the M2 working?

    Well, after pulling my head out of my own A$$, i realized I was taking the readings without shorting out the PS_ON to ground. Once I did that, I'm getting the readings I expected from the ATX....unfortunately, when it's all hooked up, I'm still getting nothing from my motherboard....no fans, no HD spin, nothing except a little orange led that goes on. My MB is a VIA EPIA SN18000G.

    Does anyone know how I can go about testing the motherboard to see if it's fried? Like I mentioned everything was working fine until I got a blue screen while doing the XP install.
