Ive used my m2 for a lil over a year now and recently when i opened up my computer i saw that some of the capacitors are bulging. now i have a pretty decent computer background so i know this can cause problems, which i have been having some power issues. my question is has anyone else had these capacitors go bad? whats the warranty and where can i find replacement ones for it
I haven't seen that on my M3-ATX, but Ituner (Mini-Box.com) makes these. I think they have a one-year warranty on their items but you can check at http://www.mini-box.com/DC-DC
I can't help with the M2 warranty, but I had the infamous popped capacitors from the ripoff batch out of China on a motherboard. It was out of warranty, so I found the closest ones I could in size and rating. A little higher ohms is better than lower. I just desoldered the old ones and soldered in the new ones and it's been working fine for over a year.
I'm sure Digikey or Mouser would have them. If you have an electronics store nearby, bring in the M2 and try to match them. You can't use any that are much larger than you've got, or you'll have clearance issues.
Hope this helps,
