If I were to ship you mine, could you modify it with a discount?

What "modification" are you referring to? I can put my code on the PIC from your PSU easily, but custom timings take a little more time to set up if they are different from the timings I chose for myself.

Also, it would save me the cost of the PIC which is a couple of bucks but cost you a couple of bucks to ship it, so I don't think there is much room for a discount, and it's probably not worth the additional effort. However, if you really want to do it that way, we can probably work something out. Send me a PM.

I know it's extra work, but I have done some PIC programming myself. What if you made an option similar to what was proposed before. A version of the code that allows the jumpers to be replaced by a pushbutton switch or two. Then a routine to allow settings to be set. This will allow a greater range of options. Two switches can then be utilized like simple digital watches, using the LED as an indicator of the options being set.

    Something to think about.

I apologize to those of you who have sent me PM's and not heard back recently. For some reason, mp3car has not been sending me emails when I receive a PM. Fortunately, one of you was resourceful enough to send me a message on youtube, which did send me an email...

So, I will be glad to program some PICs for you. I will reply to everyone in the next day or two to try and get any specific requests. As a side note, I am still using this firmware in my own car and have still not had a single issue so after prolonged testing it seems to be rock solid.

I'm also using it in my car every day, and it's worked great with no problems at all.

    looks great.

would it be possible to get a chip that can do a 20min hardoff delay? for me, i find that sometimes my pc can hang while going into hibernate, so i set it to 1min but i think it would eventually hibernate its just that its not getting enough time. the next step up for me is 2hr, so thats no good because my battery could die in certain conditions. 60 would probably be fine too as you have it, but i would prefer closer to half that.

Yes, I can do a 20min hardoff timing no problem. If you would like me to program one for you, send me a PM with any other timings that you would like or that you currently use so I can make sure that you get the startup and shutdown behavior that you want.

I believe I have responded to all PM's. If you sent me one and did not hear back, please send another or send me an email at blutdi09 <at> gmail <dot> com.
