from the wire color on the cable, it looks straight through. they are the same on both sides. The only difference are the molex extensions for the HD power and so on. I think it some kind of instability. And you people how can't get it to work have faulty ones.

Big thanks to CarTFT.com for great support and help.

I used the tester I bought to test my M2 and all rails seem to be good except for -5v. Is that required to start the motherboard? Could that be my problem?

So the led on -5V isn't lighting up?
Hmm possibly, I would say that it might be needed, but I'm not sure.
Let some other electrical geek tell you FOURSURE.

The -5 Volt Rails are typically only used for Legacy ISA slots, so theoretically you'd be okay without it, but I sort of doubt your system will boot if you are getting nothing on the -5 Volt Rails. On the other hand, looking at the M2-ATX Manual (pdf), -5 Volt Rails aren't listed in the power output table.
I take it that is not the problem then....Originally Posted by theminor
I guess I have two choices now...replace the M2 with an Opus or replcae the Motherboard....![]()

Im gettin pretty fed up with the M-2 and with minibox.
Now minibox is telling me they wont work on it because I didnt buy it from them. What is the reseller supposed to do for me, send me back one with the same damn problem?
Minibox-> never again.
I got my second M2 in yesterday and it doesn't work either. Same problem as last one, no 5v power. Very frustrating.
I'm not really mad at them, but so far its delayed me 3 weeks. Luckily this is my own private install. Now if it were for a client, then these delays would be much worse.
There's not many options out there. I'm going to try the Opus 150 next and finally the DSATX if needed. I don't need 220w and it costs a lot more, but there's not much choice is there?
