    UPdate on my M2-ATX + SP13000 problem:

Andrei from iTuner sent out a modified M2, and it seems to be working flawlessly. I have tried booting up twice, and it is operating as expected. I have not let it run for a longer duration, but will be testing it over the next few days.

Just wanted to say that it is looking promising, and thanks again Andrei for your support thus far

Do you know what the nature of the modifications to the M2 are to make it work with the SP13000? Can existing units be modified?

I am having the same problem.

After shutting my car off, I waited for about 10 minutes and it never tried to shutdown. I have it set to a 2 hour 'Hard off.' For the meantime, I have to shut it down manually every time I leave my car. What are my options and/or any suggestions on a fix?
Check to make sure your BIOS is not set for a 4 second shutdown.

Just to let you guys know. my M2/SP combo is working fine in the car. just installed it 2 days ago, and it is flawless. i am powering it manually (through the power button) now as i am having a problem with the ign singnal. I've got a couple of questions though and would appreciate some help.

Do i have to put a jumper on the ABCD pins for it to shutdown with the ign. I had it startup through ign but it doesn't shutdown even when the key is removed (same problem metioned above with Idaten - Idaten will you please get back and tell us what happened with you?).

Another thing is that the m2 remote amp pin is not powering my rockford amp. i measured the voltage across the pin, and it was 12V, at the amps remote terminal, it is 6V what could be the problem that is causing that voltage drop?? I tried to use a relay, but it seems that the remote pin output doesn't have enough juice to energize the coil. I really hoped that pin could produce more current. (i gives around 20mA - using my multimeter)

Thanks for the help any keep that usefull thread alive.

what do you mean by factory default settings?? do you mean no jumpers at all, and it shuts down with the ign???

I can live with the remote amp problem, by using the ign signal from the car (my amps have a soft turn on delay anyway)

But my problem with shutdowns is critical

First, it sounds like you don't have the instructions for the EDIT (not amp, I meant M2). Go to MP3car store and download the PDF file on it. Page 2 shows all the jumper settings.

The reason it doesn't matter if your amps have soft turn on or not is because the amp will be fully on while the PC is still booting and if you use analog outs the soundcard will sometimes make loud noises.
