Thread: M2 ATX Problem

I'd like to know what's happening with the SP13000 and M2-ATX too, I've had mine for a month or so now and I'm finally going to get it installed into my car next Wednesday. I've not been able to power it up yet at all to see if it works, other than using my home PC's psu to install windows onto the car PC.

Let us know if your M2 works fine with your SP13000. You should have this "new" model of M2.

What's funny to me is how everyone is installing the OS and configuring at home then placing it in the CarPC.

Me, I installed everything from the car like it's a standalone computer. No need to go home if my PC crashes on a trip to California to reinstall my OS and GPS. I can install it on the fly if no hardware is broken.

Off the subject for a bit, but iNav 3.0 rocks.

Well, the time it takes to load Windows might run down the battery. Or you can leave the engine on, but who want to sit there doing nothing while it's doing it's thing? I'd just make a Ghost copy of the main partition and if the OS craps out on you, just Ghost the copy over the original. Then you don't have to reload Windows all over again.

This is just to inform everyone who's got this M2-ATX problem. You can check your r4 resistor which is right next to power connector. There's two possibilities. It says 66C which is 47.5k ohm and then the newer model of this power supply where this resistor is 01D which is 100k ohm. This is how you can check if your supply newer model or not.

is it just me or is this problem your having with your m2 a little too familular?
Ive gone a few days on mine but after driving the gf home a few nights ago m2 sends only 12v and no 5v.
