    Anyone use a tester yet?
How to test your power supply when things don't boot.

I got my M2-ATX from a local dealer rrbuggz and it works fine.

I just got my M2 and am using it on a 1K AMD downclocked to 800 and with lowered voltage. I also unplugged the HDD and monitor to lessen the load.

My M2 won't power it up either. It just seems to supply a small jolt of electricity though the mobo connector. I see the CPU and Northbridge fan rotate a small amount about every 5 seconds. Even when the mobo connector is unplugged and power is going to the M2 I see the LED I added (J5) blink on and off every 2 seconds or so.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The tester seemed to detect a small jolt of electricity? Or the tester that was installed into your hand at birth?

    Test test test!

Mark, have you tried powering your system with a regular PS from a desktop ATX?

Also have you tried a tester like I mentioned above?

If not, then your M2-ATX may be fine, and your board and/or other components may be malfunctioning.

yes I have tested it with a normal power supply and it boots fine, infact I have tested it with several and it worked on them all. I doubt the tester you are on about would show anything as all the voltages are there and correct. Its a timing issue aparentlly. And no it isnt my 12v source either as I am using a proper bench power supply capable of delivering 40A from 3v to 18v

    Timing issue?

Well if you hooked up a tester it would show if all the rails are getting power and stay on like a system. But if the tester goes off right away, then hmmm somethings wrong.

And the tester don't rely on no atx power switch. I dono how your testing it. But instead of testing the motherboard and the bench power supplies. Why don't you test the real problem, the M2-ATX.

I promise you, the M2-ATX won't bite you if you hook up a tester up to it.
