    Dual Power supply using 2 m4 atx boards

    I need to power a Minix 780 G board with 6 drives for battery mobile applications. Drives 1 and 2 will be ide and dvd r/w for system drive and drives 3-6 will be a raid0 array with 4 sata drives.
    I want to use the 2nd m4 board for the array. My question is do I need to jumper anything to initiate the m4 board to power the drives without a mobo attached to it? Each drive pulls aprox 500 ma on both the +5 and + 12 v rails. Is this the best way to do this? Suggestions welcome.

    Solid state drives aren't big or fast enough for my application. I'm using this as an un-compressed hd video recorder. Using 1TB drives
