Strange issue with M4-ATX as of yesterday no workie...

So all of a sudden my puter refuses to turn on. What is strange is that when the ignition is on I get the motherboard power light comes on the M4 has a green blinking light but nothing ever powers up. I took everything apart to make sure nothing looked out of place, wires nicked etc all looks good. I just do not understand why I would be getting the motherboard power light a few seconds after the ignition turns on when the board is not powering up nor any of the fans etc. Any advice is appreciated.

I had this happen on an M4 that I tested about 2 years ago. Turned out to be a firmware issue.

how did you end up getting this resolved are these firmware upgradeable in the field? I just find it odd that this has been fine for months and now all of a sudden its not.

so it turns out it is not the supply after all it looks like my D510MO is dead. I tired removing everything from the chasis and pulling all peripherals including all headers and all I get is the LED on the board lit but will not power on. I tried clearing the CMOS as well as another power supply to no avail. Intel is doing a cross exchange for $25 which includes overnight shipping and return shipping I felt not a bad deal vs. waiting 3 weeks and still having to pay for half the shipping anyhow.

Glad you figured it out! One thing occurs to me - sometimes Macs won't boot if the onboard battery goes dead. Did you check your CMOS battery?
