Ah I looked away and you guys have found it all while I was gone :D
I found some mazda wiring diagrams but I couldn't locate the alternator on them to find the charge light wire.
Don't worry OldSpark won't spoon feed anyone. You are asking all the right questions :)
I found it in the Mazda manual although I wasn't able to verify it yet through schematics. There was an icon exactly how you posted and manual described its behavior exactly how Oldspark described it.
Now to determine the size of the relay. I think I would be safe with 100 amp relay but I haven't done the math yet. I did find another thread from another user going through the exact same process. I am still trying to weed through all the information there.

The cons are pretty simple - anyone with an interest in voltage sensors.
For some reason, people either push them or defend them.
I reckon why have them if you don't need them - ie, what will a voltage sensor do that the charge-light doesn't? (Then compare that to what the voltages sensor should NOT do!)
And hence why not spend $3-$20 instead of $50-$400?
For those without charge lamps - ie, stator system or permanent magnet rotors as with marine etc - then there isn't much choice - it's a voltage sensing system unless it's the (superior?) current sensing system.

It's the same as the older, but the (isolating) relay and extra battery were moved to the LHS to help emphasise that the UIBI merely an ordinary relay added into a normal dual-battery system, and uses an available circuit to trigger operation (ie, alternator's charge lamp).
And those that still found that too confusing usually accepted the adapted simplicon underneath that fig in the Battery Isolator choice! - namely auxbatterycl-tezza.jpg.
Not that I was searching for that thread... Why can I never find them when I want?
Here's another one that may be ok... Smart Battery Isolator.
Searching "UIBI isolator" may only find very recent threads - UIBI was only applied last year(?) as retaliation against using "smart" or "intelligent" for certain battery isolators. And, You-Bee is much easier to say.
But people have been doing their own UIBIs for years. You probably never read about it because why post something so obvious - especially if there is no money to be made from it?
Just add your own timer delay if you want (ha ha!) Priority Charging.
And a 3-way switch can be added for normal (auto) operation, off, or force on for parallel cranking etc.

And sorry AntiMatter, ditto, but UIBI is THE Ultimate Intelligence Battery Isolator.
So named because it is even smarter than those that market those dumb smart or intelligent isolators (but they are smarter than the buyers - except those that don't have or couldn't be bothered with charge lamps).
The UIBI is well suited to competent DIYers or those that want a system that can be replaced anywhere; cheaply.

Glad I also know what UIBI is.. never got that out of you I actually though it was something to do with the type of alternator.. Feel a bit stupid now..
Thanks for the updated diagram and idiot's diagram for the relay..lol, they should prove handy.
I think that I will go this route. There is just too much guessing with my current isolator and that coupled with the fact the no matter what, the aux batter still participates in the starting of the car. I need to make some changes.
Now off to find a proper relay, don't mind if I run it by you guys first.
