m4atx to led screen

So obviously my screen rated at 12 v, and i've read here that its best to go off of the power suppllly directly. So specifically coudl someone tell me the wire they use for positive and negative leade?

if your not using a motherboard that supports the 4 wire pentium 4 plug then use the black wire for ground and the yellow wire for +12vdc
then you will have filtered 12vdc. Or you can use one of the white molex connectors that usually would power an acessory device like a hard drive or disk drive. just use black and yellow for 12vdc.

Ya i ended up just cutting into the yellow and black wires off the m4atx, works great

"LCD" and "LED" sets have the same screen, an array of liquid crystals. The difference between the two is the backlight, not the screen. Old LCD sets use a fluorescent lamp. Newer "LED" sets use a bank of light emitting diodes.

Forget contrast ratio in TV advertising claims. It's impossible to measure dynamic contrast ratio, so manufacturers can claim anything they want. The best way to judge contrast is to look at different sets operating as demonstrators in a TV store. Being "LED" doesn't automatically guarantee better contrast. You have to evaluate specific models, and there are some conventional LCDs that do better in professional lab testing than several "LED" sets.
LCD-LED TVs use LED lights for backlighting. Such TVs are thinner, use less power, and are generally brighter than plain old LCD screen which use more traditional methods for backlighting.

LCD-LED sets are also more expensive.

Most LCD-LED sets are edge-lit, meaning the lights are arranged around the edge of the screen. Newer LCD-LED sets are grid-lit, meaning they have lights arranged in an even grid throughout the screen. Of course these are more expensive than edge-lit sets as well.
