Thread: Mac Mini keeps shutting down/rebooting

    Well, if it boots in the car with nothing but power plugged in and it boots in the house with nothing plugged in and then you plug stuff in and it doesn't boot, that would seem to indicate that it was the stuff you plug in to it.

    I see what you're saying, but I've never had a computer not turn on because of a usb device. I'm putting my money on a loose connector due to the dock, but I wont know for sure until I get time to really check everything tomorrow

    I've had plenty of computers not turn on because of USB. You have to eliminate all possibilities as Bugbyte said...start simple and work your way back up to eliminate issues one by one. Its basic troubleshooting.

    Well, it turns out the problem was from the ACPI connector I made. The hot glue I used to prevent the connector from touching the metal top of the mac mini had worn down, and would periodically short out. Thanks for all of the help guys!
