    QuickTime compatible webcams?

Does someone have any experience with a webcam that is directly supported by QuickTime? I need to find a camera to use in QCar installations, since our pile of the original external iSights is down to the last two pieces.

I have tried several USB webcams by Logitech using Macam, but the results are not that good (some controls not working, some cams seem to be only sending odd and even half-frames separately so they cannot be used to take a still image easily etc. etc.)

have you tried any firewire cams? I use the Unibrain digicam:

    I've installed it here:

I use it with irecord, and works well, good quality pics, should work with quicktime.
