It is my understanding that the car2pc adapter plugs into the back of my head unit and then has a usb and 3.5mm jack. The jack is for the sound and then usb is to maintain steering wheel controls.
I have read that other people have had trouble with this adapter but that the newer versions of software sorted it out. As an alternative there are other aux. input adapters this might be why it is listed under Guino's RX-8 build. Alternatively, he might have two. One for the carPc and one for aux. deviced such as an iPod or something.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks for the response, mdd5148.
how do you get sound out of the mac mini intel duo with only xp installed
The on-board sound card will work fine. You'll only get 2-channel sound that way though.
Hi there,
I have the same Mazda 6 problem with the screens and standard radio.
Therefore I wan't to buy the screen from mpegcar.com
Did you already recieve him from the shop?
If that is so i can order him also
I have a mac mini intel as well and I have done a solo install of windows xp pro sp2... i have the mac os x 10.4.7 disc and not leopard. I have installed most of the drivers of the mac mini such as sound, video, wifi, and lan, but i cant install the bluetooth in windows! its like windows isnt detecting it at all..I have read all the threads I could find on google and I followed the steps correctly to the best of my knowledge..Is there anyway to get everything working on the mac mini minus the apple remote of course, in windows xp pro sp2? Any help would be great!
Bluetooth worked fine for me in both versions of bootcamp for 10.4.7 and leopard.
I would recommend getting your hands on a Leopard disk and see if that bluetooth driver fixes your issues. The other option is to see if you can get the driver off the manufacturers website.
Well I dont have a copy of leopard...do you think you can send me the driver via email or if you have the time through remote connection ( Ill allow you to control my computer).. I have been trying to get bluetooth to work for nearly a week now. OR can you hint to where i can find the bluetooth driver.. I have downloaded a few files that appear to be the correct driver for the apple radio bluetooth..like the driver included in a file called " all macmini drivers" that includes al the drivers for the mac mini...All of the drivers worked except the bluetooth driver...the file may be the right one but my windows sp pro sp2 operating system is still not detecting the bluetooth.. So do you think you can extract the bluetooth driver from your cd and email it to me or something?
I only have windows xp installed, I dont have bootcamp o parallels or mac os x for that matter....but if it is easier for you to help me i will reinstall mac os x 4.7 and get a hold of bootcamp ( is bootcamp included in mac os x 4.7?) and then install windows as a dual boot setup.. I was basically trying to do without mac os if at all possible...Thanks for the help!
