Aside from nav, some of the front ends use it to put your speed on the skin, set the time for the clock, implement a trip function, figure out when to autodim the skin based on your local sunset. Stuff like that.

I've just started using the LSX Void skin and have found it to be far and away the best skin I've seen so far. Very well implemented.

DFX 3.0 is a nice skin as well. Very complete. It's all a matter of preference.

it could be a few things, you should ask in the main lsx thread
have you set up the path to Winamp?

READ the first post. You need to get rid of one of the dll's that comes with RR and update to LSX 3.2 or whatever. I had the same issue last night, trying to install it!

Well, you ought to ask the questions over on the LSX thread, but it sounds like you have at the very least a Winamp reinstall issue.

If you used the latest RRinstaller there is no ziplocator.dll anymore. Download and install Winamp version 5.13 and run rrconfig again and set the path of winamp.

You also have to make sure that the .dll for winamp is registered (it's in the RR file).

IMP, Void is the best skin out there. Very complete and fully featured.

    However, CFX is as well.

I prefer the graphical style of Void over DFX.

User preference.........................you really can't go wrong with either of these two great skins..............
