Question Will a P1900 v1.0 and an Intel Mac Play nice together?

Like the title says, I have a P1900 V1.0 and an Intel Mac Mini. I tried to get them to work and have not gotten power yet. The PSU is putting out the right voltage, just no power to the Mini (bad iSense?...). Everything I have read on the resistor mod says that it is for the V2.1 version of the P1900. Will this do anything for my problems or should I just buy a newer P1900?
    Thanks!

I got it working with the resistor mod but it would never turn the unit on. I could turn it on manually but I guess it was pressing the button before the Mini could recognize it. So I got sick of messing with it and just ordered myself a new 2140. Oh well. Anybody need a P1900?!?

Which Power supply would be the best. I was originally going to go with the p1900 V2.2 now I have been reading about the P2140. What is the difference and which one would be best in my application. I will prob be buying a 1.66 or 1.83 Mini.
Thanks PS Sorry thread jack,.. NOOB

Is the 2140 working for you?

I still have to manually power on my Mini every time (cold boot)...

Ya, the 2140 is working ok for me. However for some reason I cannot get the settings to consistently stick through the PSUmoni software that comes with it. It NEVER remembers what the settings were from the last time that I used the software. All of the settings are set to zero when I open the program and I have to set them all over again every time, really annoying. But it really does work fine, just annoying. I think I honestly would be just as happy with a p1900 just so I can set physical jumpers.

I've never been able to get the jumpers set right (I suspect my 1900 is defective), so it shuts down and I have to reboot every time, No biggie, it only takes about 30 seconds, but it's not what i expected when I bought it.

Support has been less than helpful.

I'm also using the P2140 in my car. It seems, that it loses sometimes its settings with firmware 1.4.4. And the newest bug with firmware 1.8.3 is, that the mini doesn't shutdown sometimes.

Deep sleep is another option for you if you have problems which force u to cold boot. It's hibernation for macs. Google it.

It's actually called safe sleep and it's actually a lot quicker than windows hibernate.

Although I wouldn't recommend using it with Parallels or VMWare Fusion.
