No direct volume controls. No fading or balance.
There is just nothing I see anymore beneficial to this in the car. Maybe someone sees something i dont?

If I currently have an amp, couldnt I just run the head phone out of the mini into a 2 Channel RCA split and plug that into a RF 3sixty or a JL Audio Cleansweep and get the same results?
PS the RF 3sixty has a 2 channel AUX input.
No. The Firewave is 5.1. Your suggestion is simply dual stereo.

Can someone expalin exactly how this is hooked up. I would guess it has USB connection and the the optical input from the mini and the speaker level outputs? PLease correct me if I am wrong.
It's hooked up via firewire and has 3-3.5mm speaker level outputs.
Why does it only have 3 speaker level outputs and what does the 3.5" mean? I would think it would have 4 + 1 for the sub given that it produces 5.1.
Whoops it's 3.5 mm not 3.5". Each plug is stereo, so 1 for fronts, 1 for rears, 1 for sub/center channel.

ok I got ya. Thanks for the pic. One last question. So if I had this set up and a amp bc I will not be using a HU, would I still get 3.5mm to RCA and plug the RCA for LR ect to the amps input?
The picture makes it a lot clearer than I can explain it.
Yep, that's how I did the interconnects when I was using a firewave.
