MMFE - Another front End for the Mac.

Hi All,

I'm new here and fairly new to this whole thing about this area of computers and such, but I'm getting involved fairly quickly.

MMFE is a Mac front end based on iTheater 1.2 but with several new features and a few removed features, plus it's optimized to run on smaller computer screens (12 In. and less).

It's currently not available for download but it will be in the next week. MMFE will be open source with the GPL V2 which I'm sure your all familiar with.

Here's a current screenshot I took while working on it today:

And comments, suggestions or questions?

-Connor

I'd lost track of iTheatre. I saw it awhile back and thought it might eventually make a good front end but it wasn't ready for prime time.

Welcome, and we can always use more front end development!

Yah, I believe the last version of iTheatre was put out in 2006, but correct me if I'm wrong. It needs work, but Deferentially a good base for a Front End.
I'll get a list done up of what I hope to add and change over time to it.

Awesome! i am always glad to hear about new front end work being done. the mac community is way behind when it comes to front ends. good luck with the whole gps thing though. that is going to take a lot of work/innovation to get it working. good luck though. feel free to ask for help, there are plenty of us out here eager to help the development of another front end.
Check out the new version of NAS, a cross platform music frontend here

GPS support won't come for a while yet, I don't know anything about GPS and how to implement it, so some research will be required on my part.
I've thought about radio, but I've thought of it more in the sense of internet radio, could you clarify what your referring to/be more specific.

The Mac community seams to behind in these types of areas for the most part, or at least from what I've observed with other types of software.
I guarantee I'll be asking for help eventually, so it's good to know there's a few people willing to be of assistance

On another note, MMFE is not the final name, of this, I just needed a name so it became temporary.

Before I post more I need to say sorry just incase my english is lacking in any of my posts, because it usually is.
