    Powering Old Imac G4

I have an old Imac G4 lying around and was planning on replacing my current carputer with it. I'm trying to figure out which dc-dc power supply will work for this board? The current psu mobo connector is very small and has two rows of 7 pins. I was wondering if anyone knew what this was, and if there was a psu out there that will work, and if not would it be possible to cut and splice a standard atx psu and adapt it to this board. I've attached a pic of the mother board connector. Thanks for your help!

I suggest googling for the pinout for that conenctor.
It's not ATX standard, so you may not be able to use an ATX PSU with it.
You may very well vbe stuck using an inverter, which is not the ideal solution for a vehicle computer.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Use a digital multimeter to measure the voltages and match them to an ATX supply. It may take a while but it should work okay.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I could'nt find any info by googling, but I did find a setting on the mac to re-boot after power failure, so the computer auto boots each time I start the car. Not the ideal way to run the computer, but it works, and it saved me from buying a psu. This mac has a really short boot time too, which is nice. I'm still trying to fix the touch kit issues, but I think with a little more searching on this forum I'll have it up and running this afternoon.
