@Natedawgg - I retract my statement! Version 2.0 works as advertised. The problem I'd had was that I couldn't get it to recognize my music library path. I would set it but it just wouldn't take. I just tried the new version and it works nice. BTW-love the GPS screen for it! THAT'S what I've been envisioning for a long time!
Awesome. I am glad to hear that the problem is resolved. Please let me know if you run into any bugs or clunky UI schemes. I am a one man show so testing is limited. I am in the process of doing a complete re-write of the underlying code base, so if anybody has any suggestions or feature requests (short of implementing full gps features into the app) feel free to pop into the NAS sub-forum and drop me a line.

Don't forget the Macmini optical out (Digital)

Remember the Mac Mini has optical out that can be connected to Toslink input or converted to analog using a device like the one below ... you shouldn't need an additional soundcard

ok, getting there. Just need to configure the touch screen, and sort out the powering off somehow. Touch screen should be easy, it's just the powering off that I'm iffy about.

    sharpmusic,

Do you have experience with this device?

I looked at the product description and it says it "Converts analog L/R signals to digital S/PDIF or TOSLink". Unless I'm thinking of it backwards, that is the wrong direction...

    Hmm... about that device...
People think that because the Mini is said to have optical out that means you can use a toslink cable. In actuality, the connection is line-out, which means it's the same 3/8 mini headphone connection that runs similar to iPods/iPhones/PC's. The GefenTV is for those units which ran out of, or do not have any, analog sound connections that wish to utilize the TOSlink connection...

That being said, I'm not sure of your hackintosh, but in your instance, you may want to try the PowerMate from Griffin, or something of that nature.

The mini, if budget-able (hey, they upgraded recently!), could still be on your horizon...

    Drivers help

    this might help.

    Code:

I just did a quick search for "619 driver" to get that. There were a ton of other links that I didn't not look through.
