Ok so I've looked around the website and seen mixed comments on how exactly to intergrate my amps with my mac mini. My first thought was to just use and aftermarket HU and connect my 4 channel and sub amps to that and then run an aux line to the audio out on the mac mini. I would prefer however to connect the rca's directly to the mac mini. I really don't want to convert the rca's to 3.5mm if at all possible. I basically need 3 sets of rca's with the amps I'm running I dont want to break the bank but I don't want the cheapest way out. Any input would be greatly appreciated
Check out the Griffin Firewave. It's a discontinued product, but it MIGHT give you what you are looking for.
I tried to look up some of the threads I've found but couldn't find anything that might interest you. I'm going the same route as Project07MACry.
A simpler option is an equalizer that will take 2-channel stereo input and output 4 channel stereo + subwoofer.
And you're probably going to be stuck w/ a 2.5mm jack into the MacMini. Don't know any way to get RCAs instead without some major surgery.
I don't recommend the Firewave. The device doesn't keep your settings, so after a reboot you have to manually set the device up again.

Im going with an EQ which seems the best route hands down. Not too $$$ unless you truly want to spend that kind of cash. There are >$50 and <$250 EQs out there, just find one that fits your needs.
An EQ will give you the basics you'd lose by not having a head unit:
takes RCA in puts RCA out (usually 1 pair in, 2-3 pairs out F/R/Sub)
master volume control (not all EQs have this, make sure yours does)
fading front/rear (sometimes left/right too, but F/R is way more important)
and the fact its an EQ means at minimum you can tweak more than bass/treble and not need any software or touch interface to mess with when you want to change the sound.
and you are stuck with taking minijack to RCA to whatever you process sound with. (edit: unless going optical, firewire or USB out)
I'm going out of the mac mini via a USB DAC, which in turn outputs RCA's, no need for 3.5
What is a USB DAC? Example?

seems like this is everyone’s problem/concern. I have spend a lot of time dynomatting my doors, building brackets wiring ect - not to mention the money on my speakers. I am kind of happy with the SQ i am getting but it defiantly should be better. Through talking to people and picking brains, I believe we need some type of pre amp between our mac and amp(as mentioned above). One of my friends claims that audio control has great pre amp equalizers. I have been looking for one and when I find a good deal will jump on it and let you guys know.
I am not sure how necessary it is to get a USB DAC because if you are running a quality pre amp it will most likely wash away any imperfections or loss in sound quality you are receiving through the head phone to RCA.
