OK heres what I have and here's what i want to do.

I have the first gen Mac Mini, & Griffin Powermate. I've been trying to find a good touch screen or any screen with the right resolution where the seller is in the US. I recently got the idea to use this as a screen

    Product Features
Multimedia GPS Navigation System With Built-in Antenna
    5.8" WVGA Touchscreen (800 x 480) Pixels
Includes MSN Direct Receiver With free 90-day Subscription to MSN Direct Service included (additional subscription required after trial period)
2GB Internal Flash Memory Preloaded With Maps for the United States and Canada
Text-to-speech Technology Lets Voice Prompts Announce Road Names over the Built-in Speaker

theres a video in for the rear view cam. Does anyone have any ideas of how I should approach this?

mp3car just posted a sale on a sunlight readable 7" lcd touch screen. you should check it out. the thing you posted doesn't look like it could be used with a computer. it looks more like a stand alone unit.

That isn't VGA compatible, nor is the image quality going to be anything more than awful.

mp3car and mo-co-so are both US based if you want a touchscreen, and the quality will be much better than what you would get on that pioneer unit (In terms of screen, I can't quote on the other components).

End of the day, if you want a good screen, spend good bucks. You can't cut corners in this hobby, you will never be satisfied with the end result. Which is cheaper, the pioneer unit, then the composite adapter cable, then a touchscreen when you find the screen on the pioneer is horrible when using A/V inputs from a computer, or just buying a touchscreen from day one, and having a quality screen?

That could mean many like me thought wtf are you talking about? and were nice - or curious - enough to look.

I know that non-descriptive Titles/Subjects wastes a lot of readers time, but good to see an originator affected too.

But I love the anarchy - forget etiquette and rules!

You don't want to use that screen. It has no VGA input so the quality will be god awful. It also has no usb input, so the computer can't use it as a touch screen.
