    Win7 on Macmini

I recently decided to upgrade my 2006 1.66 Mac mini from it's original 80Gb HDD.
I thought that as I was already running WinxP on bootcamp and had found that boot times were v slow that I would load Win 7 directly on to the Mini, thus saving the initial boot into OSX.
This was entirely successful, or so I thought!
The only obvious problem i've discovered is that despite my best efforts I can't seem to get any sound (other than the start up chime) out of the Mini.
I've reloaded Realtek drivers from my Leopard OS disc but it seems that these aren't being loaded into use by the Win 7 system.
Just wondered if anyone had similkar experience of sound driver problems that might give me a steer in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Colin

You need to download the bootcamp 3.1 driver upgrade from the Apple website. You can get the 32-bit update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL996

About Boot Camp Software Update 3.1 for Windows 32 bit

This update adds support for Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate), addresses issues with the Apple trackpad, turns off the red digital audio port LED on laptop computers when it is not being used, and supports the Apple wireless keyboard and Apple Magic mouse.

This update is highly recommended for all Boot Camp 3.0 users.
Edit: I have found that WinXP boots over 30 seconds faster than Win7 on my Mini.
