Mimo 720-S as the only display on Mac?

I have a Mimo 720-S USB touchscreen monitor that I'm testing for my MacCar setup.
I have installed the DisplayLink drivers (version 1.6). On one Mac mini that I installed these drivers, the monitor works as the only monitor. On another Mac mini with the same drivers, the display won't com on unless I connect a monitor to the Mac mini's mini DisplyPort or mini DVI connectors.

Anyone know why this is?
Maybe I had the DisplayLink 1.5 drivers on this Mac mini before I installed the 1.6 version. The Mac mini that the Mimo works as an only monitor, I only installed the 1.6 drivers. Maybe I'll see if I can uninstall all versions, then only install the 1.6 version and see what happens.

I'll post back with my results.

Before I ask that question, $30 for a friggin touchscreen download kit?
OK, I understand that the monitor is $200 only, but c'mon, $30 extra for touchscreen on OS X while the Windows 7 driver is free?!?!?!

That's insane...

Back to your issue ndutyme. I would check the driver version on your previous mini just to be certain. Furthermore, if you did shell out the $30 for the touchscreen, your best bet would be the mini-dvi connection instead of the displayport. I found that with the display-port connection, touchscreen capabilities do not work properly when the cursor reaches the finder menu...

Addendum: the USB connection, did you test it without any other USB devices connected? If not, then try plugging in the monitor with nothing else using USB. If the monitor comes on, then it's a power issue, and you may need to use an additional USB cable.
If it doesn't work, then it may only work for macs the way most other touchscreen monitors do: with a displayport/mini-dvi connector. I hope it's the former though...

I didn't pay $30 for the touchscreen driver, just using the trial version (100 taps before it stops working). I didn't buy this display, just borrowing it. This Mimo 720-S is USB only (no VGA, DVI or HDMI inputs) and carries data and video over 1 USB connector (it only has 1 connector).
Although it works well once you get it running, I don't think I'll be getting one because of the extra driver cost, incompatibility of it and it doesn't support anything above low 2D graphics.

I think I'll get the Lilliput EBY701 instead with a Carnetix P1900.
