Hi guys! I have been running Ubuntu in my car for some time now and it's becoming a pain in the *** with drivers and stuff, so I wiped the Ubuntu drive and am trying to install OSX on it. I am sure this is a formatting issue. I have the OSX DVDs which came with my Mac Mini and they will install Tiger (which is fine for what I want).
To wipe the drive I probably did something wrong being that I'm a
linux-tard; I just booted into Ubuntu and did a sudo fdisk /dev/sda then deleted the partitions because I didn't care about keeping anything on them. I probably needed to actually format the disk.
Now when I try to boot from my OSX DVD I am getting "No bootable device - Insert boot disk and press any key"
The BIOS is set to boot from the DVD Rom first, and I have tried both disc 1 and disc 2 from my OSX package. No dice on either. I'm sure I just need to format the disk as OSX Extended cause it is formatted as a pure linux drive right now, but I'm not sure how to do that. Any tips on how to get this thing up and running with OSX? Thanks!
