Thread: Switching from Ubuntu to OSX

Now when I try to boot from my OSX DVD I am getting "No bootable device - Insert boot disk and press any key"

The BIOS is set to boot from the DVD Rom first, and I have tried both disc 1 and disc 2 from my OSX package. No dice on either. I'm sure I just need to format the disk as OSX Extended cause it is formatted as a pure linux drive right now, but I'm not sure how to do that. Any tips on how to get this thing up and running with OSX? Thanks!

Burn this ISO to CD, let it boot up the screen where it will ask which device you want to boot. Switch the boot CD with you OS CD, then hit enter. You should be good to go from there!!!

Sorry, one more stupid question - which file(s) from your archive am I burning as an ISO? There are several files (Boot, a folder called ISOLINUX with a config file in it, etc). Which do I burn?

It should have extracted as an ISO. The files was supposed to come out as an ISO image. Must have done something wrong.packaging it. Let me try again.


Think I got it packaged right this time...let me know....use the extract here option when you extract it...
