Mobile Internet & The Mac
I will ring in my 100th post by making my quest for completion here.
Long story short, I have a beta Mac FE, a two-switch control that powers my MACry, and am in the midst of getting a sub/amp combo plus a 10hz GPS receiver.
There's only one factor left in my complete setup (other than getting some body work done:))
Mobile Internet usage.
Wifi hotspots aside, I would like to add a mobile internet setup with a router of sorts that allows me to access the net in my car without the need of being near a Starbucks, McDonalds, or Bryant Park for that matter.
I don't mind paying monthly data service fees. Lord knows I've been paying out the ying-yang for data service with my iPhone and BlackBerry.
I remember at the MP3Car convention a PC user with that kind of setup. Bug-Byte also had spoken of it too; in fact, he used Boost Mobile to get internet on this computer. I was wondering if anyone in the Mac community has something like this going.
Thanks for any and all replies.
...Happy New Year! The update
I hope everyone survived the blizzard (if you were as unlucky as myself) and are enjoying the new year.
I skimmed through the updated guidelines to posting; and I hope I catch no infractions for saying i have begun using the MiFi routers as Cabe suggested; it works as fast as my DSL connection!
So thanks to everyone for their input.
