Tested out my I-pac USB controller with my G5...works great

seems obvious, but i figured that i should put it in writing.

why, the I-Pac is my favorite toy!

If you're one of those touchscreen haters like me, you'll want some sort of keypad support.

the I-pac is a keyboard controller that you can use to build your own buttons/interface.

I-PAC is an awesome keyboard encoder. I used it on my MAME console, was way cheaper then the granddaddy hagstrom encoder everyone else was using, and supported more features.

The Ipac was made for building Arcade machines using the pc and a emulator called mame.

What it does its a keyboard encoder so when u push a button it sends a key like Z X etc.

What you need to do is put 2 wires into the Ipac then tighten the screw onto the wire then hook the 2 wires to a switch/button to press that key stroke

it's simple and easy and it's configurable

I persinally use a Keywiz encoder cause its cheaper and same quality as a Ipac

Well it is made for arcade cabinets and i don't think anyone has used it in a car enviroment.

What you could do is use it as an altenative to touch screen

You could have a 7" VGA LCD and then add buttons around the edge of the LCD like they have with the standard car navigation (it says radio gps etc on the bezel on the LCD)
