Actually.. it is too much to ask.it's fully functional except for a few red letters accross the screen. If you like it and think that it works, $25 isn't too much to ask for the work we've had so far...
I'm agreeing with frodobaggins and pirate_king00 here. If I keep seeing this kind of stuff, I'm gonna hafta get off my lazy *** and whip something up.

Noodles: Yes please!! Get up off your lazy *** and whip something up!! The more the better!!! I hate it when people complain but don't want to do anything about it. This is the first Mac application (tatra app excluded) developed solely for the car environment. Don't kill us if we don't get it right the first time! All we can promise is to keep working on it! :-)
Engram: Ok... then what would make you pay $25 for this? Whats missing? What would it need to do? I'm not trying to convince anyone that the app is worth $25, instead you convince me of what I need to do to get it up to your standards. Is it also "too much to ask" that you suggest some changes?
Site update: screenshots added.
Application update: we are testing version 1.1 with some of the requested features (making it skinnable is a real possibility).
I really can't stress enough that this application will go in whatever direction YOU want it to go. You want integrated applications? We'll try. You want a different interface? We'll try. Want it to be skinnable? We'll try.
Meanwhile, if you so wish, forget about paying for it. Live with the "Demo" splashed accross the screen and keep on testing and suggesting until you believe that it might work for you. Afterall, the demo splash is truly the ONLY limitation of i3. Other than that it's 100% functional.

I can see the direction you are trying to go with your software, but main elements to include would be:
Your own MP3/AAC player
Your own Video player
Skinnable for user customization
As other's have said, the i3 application as it now stands is only a frontend loader. It will be a tough sell compared to the Mac OS X dock with some simple tweaks.

Thanks kandyman676.
We discussed the Mp3 player application integration, but iTunes is just plain good! I think iTunes has the best possible organization. If we did a mp3 app it would have to utilize he iTunes library... but then if we changed something in the library would it become unreadable to iTunes? I think the minimized iTunes window isn't too bad to control through a touch screen... we might look further into it or maybe just try to create a better iTunes controller.
Video player. VLC seems to work very well... but definetly something to look into.
Skinnable. In the works.
I must say that I depend a lot on the Powermate so the touch interface is only for some aspects... the powermate has the power to send different keystroke in different applications so it makes it very easy to control a lot of stuff.
Anyway, thanks for the opinion and feedback.

You know not even YOUR OWN mp3 player, but isnt OSX setup so u can have itunes running (or even not) and use its capabilties, like the quicktime library or something. So you can access the itunes organization but use a better front end for it.
