Has anyone successfully used send keys to control the radio functions?

    Thanks.

Exactly what I have already done. Presets (up and down), volume and mute. But I was wondering if I could add the SEEK button.

Sendkeys is a Visual Basic command (app?) that allows you to control any windows application through keyboard commands. At least this is what I found out by doing a search on the web. I am no programmer, so this is beyond my skills.

SendKeys is a windows API. It is compatable with any language that can use windows API.
    SkinBedder used to use it

i was using radio shark in NYC yesterday, manhattan and queens to be specific, and reception was amazing, at least as far as FM goes. But sadly out here in jersey it doesn't work so well. I need to find a way to boost its reception.

Just got my Radioshark over the weekend and it works great, very easy to install and has excellent reception. Its sitting still as I have not yet installed it, but inside it gets better reception then my home stereo. Would also love to re-skin it.

    Modified RadioSHARK installed and working

I just got done installing my Mac Mini into a Mazda 3 sedan, completely removing the stock head unit to make space for the 7" monitor.

Thanks to other contributed info on this thread, I successfully re-cased my RadioSHARK, including a connection to the stock radio antenna on the car.

This helped the FM reception tremendously, though some stations still get some interference. AM was a total loss despite my efforts to make a new coil inside the project box. The software interface is of course barely usable on a 7" touchscreen. But at least I can tune when I get tired of listening to my iTunes library.

You can see a full walkthrough of my install, including pics of the RadioSHARK mod, here:

    Thanks for the tip!

that's awesome, can you explain how you connected to your factory antenna?

also as far as the UI - I'm working on a new one for RadioShark using skin bedder. I have a partially working one right now, and I will be making a better one once I get around to it. The current skin I have works only @ 800x600 in CF. if you want to toy with it and your config matches that I can send it your way.
