When will we see DVI based LCDs?

Hey, this is my first time on the board, and it looks like a good place to come for help in my tentatively planned Mac mini installation in my WRX!

Question: I see there is quite a selection of VGA based displays on the market, but me being a purist and all, I'd like to use the mini's DVI port and go straight to a DVI capable monitor. When can we expect such a move by the manufacturers?

judging by how long it took to get motorised vga monitors i think you'll be waiting a while

If you're talking about the smaller 7" and 8" LCDs, the resolutions are fairly low compared to desktop LCD displays, which makes the DVI connection unnecessary. I doubt we'll be seeing them on these monitors anytime soon.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. I know very little about these small LCDs, but my belief is that a DVI connection could only improve the picture quality. Plus it would get rid of an extra VGA to DVI adapter and simplify installation.

Nic, I haven't seen these motorized displays - MP3Car.com doesn't seem to have any that I would call 'motorized'... Got a link to some? I would love to install a display that swings up and away with the push of a button (to reveal the slot loading CD drive on the mini, for instance).

Yes, the cables are detachable on Xenarc (and 99% sure on Lilliput as well).

Edit: but actually, now that I think about it, on the Xenarc it isn't a regular VGA connector, since it has the touchscreen cable connection integrated as well. Might be two seperate connections on the Lilliput..?
