It's an add on. There are pictures and info here: http://www.carnetix.com/P5V.htmOriginally Posted by raceer
Does that mean we get the 1900 and then add this ? or will the 1900 be available with 3 o/p's ?
al256 is correct. It will be offered as an add-on only.
Thanks Al/Mike, Will wait for this to get 1900/y cable.
Please feel to advice when avail in case I miss it...
Al the bits are slowly falling into place...only catch is GPS.. qith turn/turn voice...oh well...
Update: Is it feasible to add more than one ? Or is one being greedy ?
Intersting question. I suppose you could bolt more than on P5V on the OUTSIDE of the P1900 chassis (only room for 1 inside). But, if you do this you will need to cut/splice some wires since there is only one place to plug the input wires for the P5V on the P1900.Is it feasible to add more than one ? Or is one being greedy ?
Thanks Mike, shall start off with three, but I'm sure there will be a need for a fourth...
Btw. Another potential quick/nasty option might be to add a pot (for variable output) to make cheapo regulated supply from a no longer used car telephone charger...after all it started life out as a dc-dc supply :-)
The CarNetix CNX-P5V is now shipping! The MP3Car Store will have them in stock by the end of this week.
Thanks Mike, I bought mine last night. Us Mac users appreciate your involvement.Originally Posted by MikeH
Thanks for that Mike, Ordered mine and waiting patiently ...last piece in the puzzle :-)
When it gets here, I will run out of excuses not to find the time to fabricate bits...or find someone to do it for me :-)
'Twas cool to loan the mini for dashpc port !!
