i have been thinking of it... thought of actually connecting the airport module to an external wifi antenna... maybe a low gain type or something and then mount it outside the car?
I was wondering what creative things people have done to improve mac mini wireless reception.
I was playing with a Belkin USB adapter but it is a little flaky when it comes to going to sleep. The system also feels a little buggy when the driver is installed.
So…. I think the key is using the airport with an external antenna. What experience have folks had with this approach?

Agreed. I get much better range with my Mini in the car compared to my AlBook in the house.Originally Posted by maxipad96

That's good news. I only made an assumption that it might not be that great. I guess I'll give it a shot before I go and mess with something that might work out just fine. The only mac mini I have been playing with doesn't have airport. I have been using a belkin USB adapter. When I get my mini I am ordering it with built-in.Originally Posted by al256
