This is cool, thanks very much. actually, I was thinking of a module like your web/online stuff, which then calls the widgets in that neat drop down panel. This way you would get around the "widget is too big to fit here" problem - at least with most of them.
Thanks again for this app, I love it already.

I think I found a way to view internet pages as well, like you were saying because of screen size an ideal like what cellphones use would be in order. I found that to be called WAP. if you go to http://wap.yahoo.com you can see the code of it but I found there are many different java emulators around you might be able to get working.
Yeah, I am familiar with WAP, but it a bit too limited. I believe some sort of pre-processor for classic HTML would probably be the best idea - ideally you would be able to set the level of simplification yourself. We will see.
able to compile but cannot load modules...I have all the modules in the correct dir. can see some but not others...after 'adding' i am stuck...am I missing something ?
any help greatly appreciated...
thanks
I am not quite sure what to make of this, so here few tips, let me know if I misunderstood you.Originally Posted by raceer
1. To place a module into a slot, you need to select the slot and then press Apple+5. Then select the module you want to place and press "Apple+5" again. This will place the module into the slot.
2. Some modules (single-instance, for example Current time or System menu) are loaded when the application starts and you can place them into slots immediatel after the app has started, some (multi-instance) need to be created in setup first. Only multi-instance modules and modules that have setup are displayed in setup view (these are located under "settable singles"). You will for example not see Current time there, because it has no settings (support for time zones coming).
3. The compass module is mandatory. Make sure you build both targets in the main app project.
4. If the app starts and you can see "Empty slot" text in the headers/titles of slots, the application has started successfully. If you can only see "-" in the headers/titles, something went wrong with one or more modules and the app did not load them. Have a look at the console log and let me know if you see anything strange. You can also disable some modules by moving them out of the app folder and then add them one-by-one to identify the one giving you problems.
5. If you used previous versions of the software (or tried to), try to delete file named cz.ocs.TatraApp.plist in your ~/Library/Preferences/ folder. Sometimes the module setup format changes and currently there are no "upgrade" functions. The module can create a new setup if none is present, but can go crazy if a setup is present, but in a wrong format.
Many thanks for tips, will check console log and get back with status.Originally Posted by Jirka Jirout
Best rgds
So I now have another module ready and would appreciate some feedback. The module is named "File utilities" and currently it can do three things:
1. Dump log files to a connected external disk (I use flash drives)
2. Import files from connected digital camera to hard disk
3. Import contents of inserted Audio-CD into iTunes
There is a fourth button on the module, but at the moment, I can't think of any suitable function for it. Any ideas?
So cool...Originally Posted by Jirka Jirout
