    Some questions before purchases

    Hello,

Just would like to check a few things before I click the purchase button.
I am using a Mac Mini.

I am going to get the CNX-P1900 power supply, and the xenarc motorized screen.

What is considered the best USB GPS hardware for the Mini? I like the look of the Rikaline GPS-6010, and being waterproof is icing on the cake.

I have also been looking for a bluetooth keyboard with a mouse built. I have only found one so far but it was PC only

As for the front end, I am just going to knock up a launcher in Flash until something better comes along.

    Thanks for any help,

    Simon.

I haven't tried it, but I think the bluetooth keyboard ought to work on the Mini. Failing that, you can get the Apple bluetooth keyboard or use the Gyration wireless keyboard. MacAlly makes a bluetooth keyboard.

BT keyboard and mouse works. However, both are not really practical (for me) in a car due to size/power etc.

The Globalsat BU353 (usb) or the BT variant (if you must) might be a better option. Advantage of USB is that you have power via a hub say (one less thing to worry about in an automotive env).

Remember to get the P1900 with the extra 5v.

Hope this helps. As above also look through bugbytes excellent faq.

    YMMV

I have checked out the flame the noob thread.
Not too much info there though!

I guess I will try the waterproof one and report back on it.

Still need to find b/t keyboard with a mouse built in.

    touchpad

you can also potentially try a touchpad instead of a mouse...but again in a car this may be an issue...adesso used 2 have these..dunno if it was bt though

i am using one of these an works well with the mini/pwrbk etc
