    But...but...but...that's MAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By the same token, I'll reiterate. The menu bar I (and maybe he too) would like to get rid of is the one with the minus/minimize/maximize/x-close in the top right corner. He ain't the only one who would like to get rid of it.

    Isn't that a property you can change in IB? (cant remember if it is an option for the Window or a different window style).

    EDIT: Hmmmm.... Don't see it on a quick glance in IB under Panther. I could swear I saw it some where though....

    raceer has the right idea, but it seems that that programme just darkens it.
    There has to be a way to remove it or overlay a flash projector over it.

    To remove the menu, simply use this:

    [NSMenu setMenuBarVisible:NO];

    Ehm, sorry, I overlooked you want a solution for Flash. ("Flash application" is kind of oxymoron to me).

    This is what you would use in a Cocoa application. Typically you would want to execute this code as soon as your application has started. For example in response to -applicationDidFinishLaunching: message, sent to the NSApp's delegate or when you create the main window (you have to create a borderless fullscreen window programmatically anyway).

    If you insist on Flash, you can create a simple Cocoa wrapper with fullscreen window, use a WebView as its content view and display your flash application within that view.

    BTW: Mac OS X has no "registry"...

    I am only using flash as its all I know how to write in.
    I will have a look at Cocoa. if its similar maybe it could port my app over to it.

    Well, just gone and had a look at it, and bugger that, I'm sticking to flash!

    After all that there is a very simple solution.

    the web browser Opera offers a full screen mode, and it hides the top menu bar perfectly.
