New utility: Sleep Timeout
I have created a new utility for Mac OS X called Sleep Timeout. Its purpose is to automatically shut down the system if it has been sleeping for longer than the user-specified timeout interval. It does this by automatically waking the system after the timeout interval and then performing a safe shut down.
The utility is controlled by a System Preferences pane which allows the service to be started, stopped and the timeout interval to be changed.
It currently requires Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4). This first release is really a Beta release as I have not been able to test it in a large number of configurations. It has not yet been tested on a Mac Mini although I don't expect that to be a problem.
Please let me know if you have any problems, questions or ideas for improvement.
