once again, a release won't be made until I'm happy with the functionality. I'm going to make sure everything is worked out that I can, so that when I release I don't spend 24 hours a day working out bugs that everyone is finding. I have a full time software consultant business and work on this during my "off time." I know bugs will exist when I release, but I want to work everything out I can first. That's why I'm not promising or giving any time frame at all. It will take as long as it takes.

okay wasn't trying to rush you, just wondering if it's 90% done 75% some kind of idea where you're at over all?

    hope I'm not being pushy,

    thanks!

Hopefully this will turn out well.
If you need some graphics done, hit me up on AIM-Subwoo4er so we can talk some more

Ive been using windows but im getting really sick of it. If this works well then I may have to go out and buy a mini.

Question, will iti support the new mac mini with the intel core duo processor? Hopefully yes.

I have most of the backend for audio and video completed, as well as several other features as well.

HOWEVER, I don't have any kind of usable "eye-candy" GUI yet.
Perhaps you could provide some criteria for the graphics you're looking for. That should help get you more useful and comprehensive replies.

    Who is the user?
    Driver only, passenger only, both?

    Where is it used?
In a car, obviously, but any other environments?

    When is it used?
When stopped or parked, obviously, but are some or all features to be used while driving? Do any features or functions need to behave differently or be prevented while driving? (If so, can you detect driving vs non-driving states?)

    How is it controlled?
Must the user click in a specific screen location for each action, and if so, what can they use to do that -- touchscreen, NuLOOQ or other Mac peripheral, IR remote?

    Then there are some meta-questions:
How do all of the functions tie together, what are the common characteristics that they all share? (This, plus the When and How answers, would be essential to a coherent, consistent and compelling interface.)

What makes your frontend stand out compared to using other applications, or a remote or keypad without your frontend? (If it's the eye candy alone, you're not adding much value even after a lot of coding.)
