For 1 you can tell itunes not to orgonize your music folder. Also you might wan't to have a look around at http://www.versiontracker.com that should have some other mp3player if you really can't stand itunes

So, am I to take it by the lack of actual responses (1, I believe) to the question, that nobody is actually using a mac carputer?

I am trying to come up with a usable interface, here.

Don't have my MAC installed yet, but so far the only thing I have running is Front Row. Seen some other but they all seem incomplete as far as features so I will just wait till somthing comes out in the next year or two hopefully.

Yeah I know, all I have planned for my Mini in my truck is music, and movies so Front Row suites my needs. Everything comes with time, hopefully that applies to a MAC front end as well.

I'm using my own Applescript front end, called Harmony. It ain't perfect, or even close, but with some polishing, I hope to release it for others.

I'm using my Mac mini with an own AppleScript app for music (controling iTunes) and with other regular applications, such as Route 66 and BTV Pro (for rear video).
My first need for car app is quick informations (map informations) and usabilty. All these apps will be started and/or activated from an applescript. If I start the car, I don't need to do something manually. The only thing, what I do manually is, controlling the music with my own little frontend.
