how about an octagonal format closer to front row, that way there would be more room and they would still be able to rotate?

Here's another idea. I know there are a ton of people out there, with the know-how, to get an app off the ground. It would be nice to pool our efforts.

Isn't that what this thread is all about?

BTW, the buttons are way too small. You'll never be able to hit those on a 7" touch screen.

Even though I am a contributer to this:
The problem is that we have too many ideas for a GUI front-end.

What we really need is a good back-end piece of software.
While most iTunes and other applescript ready programs are easy to program for, what we need is back-end software for GPS, Saving settings, OBDII, etc...

A program that parses all the required data, caches stuff, collects and passes image data from the GPS program, etc....

I have no idea how to do any of that stuff, if we had a program that we could send commands to from a GUI it would be much cleaner and easier then a single program with GUI that tries to do everything.

With a good back-end program, you can paste any GUI you want over it.

Ohhhhhh! the buttons are to small. That's why there is no front end for OSX. I don't care what the f -ing thing looks like. Everyone likes to talk instead of doing

Sorry to have offended you. I thought you were asking for reactions by posting a sample.

Speak for yourself. I'm coding my own frontend and will release it for criticism when it's ready. Wanna help? Look at post number 3. I need custom button images for the app and don't have the skills or time to do them. I need two images for each, clicked and unclicked. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Do you have specific sizes for the graphics that you need?
What file formats does your program support?

Interface builder says .tiff files are what it uses. The button sizes should be 70w X 70h. If you could help, that would be awesome!

IB will also use GIF and JPEG too. I would guess that BMP and PNG are also probably supported, but never tried.
