I think it's too tall for a single din...

    i believe the actual dimensions of a single din is 2 1/8" x 7 1/8" x variable depth

Mac Mini itself is slightly smaller than a single din device - so, no way the hight of the bracket gonna be single din in size.

That's okay, aluminum enclosure is fine if it's not too thick. Have a look at this - he is also working on the same sort of thing.
    Cheers!!!

I made my own dock and installed it in a single DIN. Check my worklog for pics if you're interested. I had to mod the Mini to work around the power button issue.

I'd pay $100 for a bracket like this but I'd want the cables to come with it.

There is actually a way of how to do that, although it really can't be done using regular tools we all have at home, but it does require some precise machinery. I will try to make and post a drawing of the mount during the weekend.

So here we go. The key is to construct the mount so it does not increase the height of the Mac mini at all. So the mini must sit on small "rails, not on its rubber bottom, but on the elevated part with air intakes. The intakes on the front and the rear side are available. Should that not be sufficient, it is possible to add some holes to the "rails".
There is no top cover on the mount, but I do not think it is necessary.
