Hm - I hope optima batteries can do very well with a carPC, I've got a redtop myself. Here's to hoping - hope you resolve that issue since we're all doing MacCARs with the P1900 - can we have a picture of your setup? :).Quote:

This may be the wrong forum, but need to share my experience. You can put the P1900 out of sync and not send a sleep signal your mini. Here is what I did.
1. turn on car
2. turn off car
3. before p1900 puts the mini to sleep
4. turn on car
5. turn off car
My mini ends up staying on drains my battery. I've been able to repeat this several time. I need to post this on carnetix forum.
I believe that was the sequence that killed my battery too. A quick on/off of the car left the Mini running.
You can fix it by unplugging the P1900 and then replugging it. That worked for me. I gets out of sync somehow.
Same thing happened here. Battery went dead. reset the P1900 and jumped the battery. Worked fine. Now I have no more mini though. I miss it a little, but look forward to truely integrated navigation w/ my clarion unit.
