    It's straightforward in any language XCode can handle. Right-click your main project in the main window, select Get Info, go to the Build tab, select Architectures from the Collection: box, select the Architectures setting in the list, click Edit, and check the Intel box.

    Hey, i'm not on the Mac bandwagon, but i'll post here the XM protocol specification PDF that I have in case it's any use to you guys. As far as I can tell also, the XM-PCR and XMD-1000 are basically the same unit, only the PCR is USB and the XMD requires the assembly or purchase of a custom serial cable. Like i said, not sure if it helps, but I like to help a fellow developer if/when i can

    Thanks! I scarfed your doc from the other thread and that's how I knew that the PCR works that way. Thanks for posting it up!

    Update 2: 3/14/2006

    Worked a bit last night on some of the bugs in the iTunes player. We added a "Home" page so you don't have to use those little tabs across the top and can jump directly to the section you want. I've made that a preference so if you always want to start with Music, you can. That's what I'd prefer.

    The bug surfaces when you select any function other than music as the default start view. The app tries to populate the playlist and music track names with the last playlist you were listening to and the tracks from that playlist. If the music tab isn't displayed at the time, you get an error. I fixed it by switching to that view, setting it up, then switching back to the 'Home' page. Only problem is, you can't do that while the window is not shown so you see it switching to Music, setting up, then switching back.

    I need to see if I can set the window to transparent, set it up, then make it opaque.

    Not that I'm a programmer, but couldn't you just have it somehow cache, the last thing it was doing? last song? movie? XM station? and just load that upon restarting the program or computer?

    We're using the preferences file to keep track of our application specific prefs i.e. last xm station, last iTunes song, brightness control, etc. Right now we're using one prefs file but we intend to move to a prefs file for each app (Music, video, xm etc).

    AppleScript Log

    comrades i need your applescripting expertise. We have an HXM application that controls XM direct and needs to be applescriptable from Harmony. I've created a .sdef file and build with no errors. When I try and access HXM through and applescript I get the following error from the console.log:

    Code:
    2006-03-14 21:28:26.114 HXM[1455] Suite HXM, apple event code 0x48786d72
    2006-03-14 21:28:26.137 HXM[1455] .scriptSuite warning for result type of command 'channel' in suite 'HXM': the type NSNumber ('long') doesn't match the result Apple event code ('nmbr').
    2006-03-14 21:28:43.199 HXM[1455] Command: HXM.setChannel
    	Direct Parameter: 48
    	Receivers: (null)
    	Arguments: {"" = 48; }
    2006-03-14 21:28:43.199 HXM[1455] Result: (null)
    2006-03-14 21:28:43.217 HXM[1455] Command: HXM.channelTitle
    	Direct Parameter: (null)
    	Receivers: (null)
    	Arguments: {}
    2006-03-14 21:28:43.218 HXM[1455] Result: (null)
    It looks like HXM receives the command and returns a null, why a null? I've harded coded channleTitle to return "TEST".
