test of winxp on mac mini intel

Well i went out and bought the dual core mini intel with 1.66mhz processor and 512 ram. I installed windows xp on it and Road Runner. It works just like a regular windows pc. Anything anyone else want me to test?

EDIT: Update windows update seems to not run it said 38 updates available but wont install any of them :-/

Ok after a reboot the updates installed fine go figure huh. Also device manager still shows about 4 unknown devices... Guess apple still has some kinks to work out.

is the port on the router going to the computer cat5 or USB? If its cat5(internet cable) then its a matter of setting up your IPs to match and router settings. If its usb, you need to find how the driver works and why the intel mac dosent like it.

I noticed in winxp that it keeps changing b/t 54mbps and 108 mbps. When it is on 54 it shows the ssid of my wireless network. On 108mbps it show no name on the ssid. Any ideas whats happening there? I have the linksys wrt54g router. If I hook up with the regular cat 5 to the router I can get on the net no prob. hence how I am typing this msg up

EDIT: Apparently after reading on another forum I cant use wpa encryption so I switched to WEP and presto she works.
