    hey, need some opinions

    hello,

i'm new around here. i was thinking about putting one of the new intel mac mini's in my 2003 nissan xterra. was wondering if who all has done this, and what all i need?

i've been reading other's posts on here, and i'm not sure if i need the exact same things for the intel version as you do for the PPC version?

if so, all i need is a mini, monitor, and power adapter, correct?

could someone direct me to the right power adapter? i would want one that allows me to keep the computer on/sleep, instead of booting everytime i crank.

also, does anybody use laptops? i do have a powerbook (PPC), would that be easier?

    thanks in advance

I am about to start my install or I would help you a bit more. Sadly, you are about to get flamed for not checking the FAQ section.

    Go here.

It won't answer your Intel question, but you can solve that by going to the Carnetix site and looking at the P1900 forum.

thanks for the link. i was looking at that last night. so how do you hook up your car speakers to it?

i'll try to find it out in there, but it'd be easier to just answer a few of my questions

If you want to use a computer with your stock sound system, you will need an audio wiring harness.

I suspect using a powerbook would be harder to do.

thanks. right now i have an after market cd player, but it's not that good. could i take it out, or do i have to have it?

why would a powerbook be harder?
