I don't know if it is possible using AddressBook (I didn't see anything in it's AS dictionary and I haven't checked it's Obj-C framework yet), but you connect to it as a serial port and dial it with AT commands. I know Jirka was looking into this.

So you could use either the AS or Obj-C interfaces to AB to get the number you want, then use the serial interface to actually dial the phone.

I have some old code using the Obj-C framework to update AB entries based on the results of a web query. It's relatively straight forward so it should be easy enough to follow even though I don't think there are any comments to speak of in it

The only way of dialling the number on a BT phone I found is to use NSFileHandle to open the connection to the phone and then the dial AT commands. It does work.

I'm sure it is possible with the BT framework too (AB does do it after all), but the documentation there leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion

Yeah, I know it been a long time now; sorry for the delay. I’m just a bit more busy at work these days and busy stupid touring around the world. But I managed to do a little progress though:

1. Graphics are ready for the Music & Movie player (this part actually taking ages).
2. A basic movie player is done but still need to fix few issues. Thanks to raceer for helping me a lot on that.
3. the_new_guy encouraged me to use CoreData for the music player and helped (and still helping ) me with some sample code, hence the music player is also half done. Right now I’m working on that. BTW, if anyone happened to know how to play the "Visual Effect" while playing track, I would appreciate that very much.
4. Minor changes I’ve made in the Adressbook
5. Redesigned the overall graphics a little bit to make it more visible in the daylight.

That’s all for now. I admit that the progress not really very fast but it’s going on (you know, the Turtle won the race, ). Next week I’ll be in Switzerland and hopefully I’ll get some time in the hotel to make some progress and upload something for you guys to check out. If not, then the week after. Thanks a lot for your interest and thanks to all of you guys for helping me.
