They always sit up like that. The hole is about the same size as that area so you can stack them on top of each other.

    Ok here is what happens.

    1) Plug in fuse at battery.
    2) Start up car.
    3) P1900 starts up and wakes the screen. No power to the mini.
    4) Wait about 30 seconds still no power to the mini. Turn mini on by hand (when I say no power to mini I mean it is not turned on, but there is power on the line)
    5) Wait 60 seconds and shut off car.
    6) Mini goes into sleep.
    7) Wait 60 seconds and turn on car.
    8) Mini wakes from sleep and is waiting for me to press play.

Thats about it. Starting from no power at all to the p1900 step 1, to step 3. It only happens when I first plug in the fuse. I am able to go into sleep, wake from sleep, shutdown, etc. All using the ignition now. Just for some reason step 3 happens. Any ideas?

    Umm... Stop unplugging the fuse

So after you manually power the Mini the first time after giving power to the p1900 (i.e. connecting the fuse) does it work just fine from then on? If so, I don't remember how mine responded in that situation, but I haven't removed power from the p1900 since I did my install.

I kept removing the fuse because I was adjusting wiring etc and didnt want a live wire going in the car. I got some more testing todo tomorrow. Unfortunatly I took a wrong guess on the polarity of the usb hub i showed earlier and fried it! Darn thing wont power on at all now. Hopefully frys will exchange it for me.

Hopefully frys will exchange it for me.
No sir. I never put it in a car

I sent a note to Mike about the audio issue. Hopefully he can poke around and come up with an answer for us.

WHIMP! I used to stick nails in electrical sockets as a kid, at least thats what my parents tell me, must have fried my brain too much that I dont remember. BTW I tried the mini in the car now and it worked great. I guess it was just a fluke. Now in the morning lets see what happens with the audio Seeing as I dont have my usb audio right now hehe.

One of these could help out in that situation. Invaluable.

Like I thought the audio was redirected right to the internal volume, had to unplug and replug the audio cable to make it work. What a pita!

And i'm sure you've not properly marked the lines so it won't happen again right?
