Ive been running my mini in the car for the past 2 days and it never seems to have a problem waking on usb. IE I dont have anything plugged into a hub just straight into the mini. I have my usb sound and usb touchscreen plugged it. Is the wake on usb perhaps not active on intel mini's? Also, is there a way to auto start playing the music again when the mini comes back from sleep? I hate having to press play everytime I turn the car on.

It's device dependant. For instance, if you have a mouse attached and it moved or a button got clicked (again device dependant) it would wake the Mini. All devices have the pontential to do it, it's just a matter of if they are built that way and what needs to occur for them to send the signal (i've heard GPS recievers will do it when they pick up different sattelites).

There was a thread about this awhile ago. I think the jist was that there is some program out there that allows you to run things when the computer wakes up. Then you write a simple apple script to tell itunes to play.

    EDIT: Here is the thread.

Ok cool Ill have to do some testing with those scripts thanks. BTW I learned today a bluetooth keyboard will wake the damn mini up as well. I wish there was a way to turn off this wake on usb, wake on bluetooth nonsense.

Oh an incase anyone is wondering, I am not using bootcamp anymore I am using parallels and iguidance. Works great. Windows will still play all sounds through it while itunes is running so I can still hear the voice prompts. Also I setup a keyboard shortcut on my bt keyboard to switch b/t windows and osx. Alot faster to use parallels then to boot using bootcamp. Now if parallels made a frontrow plugin I would be set! Hehe.

here is my deal... figured i'd post on this thread rather than starting a new one because my problems are similar. I turn the key mini doesn't turn on, screen turns on amp turns on. If I wait the initial 60 seconds and turn the car off the mini then turns on and boots up with the car off?!? K so I turn the car back on and the mini is now on and everything works, when i get out and turn the car off again the mini sleeps like it should. When i return to the car the mini is off again. I'm getting ****ed folks.

    Sounds like:

    1) Your battery is low and the Mini is draining enough during sleep mode to send it below the threshold where the P1900 will kill it.

    2) Some USB device is connected that is still powered up (the Mini's USB ports are active when it is sleeping) and is doing something to cause the Mini to wake. In which case the P1900 will kill it as it knows something is wrong.
