    Exclamation MacCar Software soltion?

First off I would like to take a moment to say hello to everyone out there. I am new to this forum as you might be able to tell so please as little flaming as possible. However I am not new to the mac world been using them for the past 17 years. Ok now on to what i just stummbeld over if its a repost let me now but i looked and saw nothing about it. While I was look at some of my regular sources yesterday I came across a cool beta from code weavers. Its a program called Crossover Mac, which in short allows you to run Windows apps on your intel mac OS nativaly. No idea how useful this could be to this group but i thought it might help solve some GPS problems. Just a thought

    P.S. i forgot the link : http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/

Thanks for the info, i guess there are loads of programmes that can do this out there now. I for 1, am really not that interested in the ability of being able to use Windows programmes on my mac, BUT i have however already installed windows using PARALLELS on the mini in my car, so on the off chance that i do need to, i can....

the difference with Parallels is an important one. Parallels does virtualization in allowing Windows to run alongside Mac OS X at full speed (minus full graphics capabilities)

CrossOver remaps the API calls from a windows program on the fly to Mac counterparts. So that even a program that was written for windows, takes on the entire look and feel of a Mac program without the need for actually running Windows.

It helps make it much more seamless and more pure to the Mac heads who want nothing to do with windows (like myself).

Cool, i want nothing to do with windows either, but the only programme i HAVE to run on windows is a secure security camera programme that allows viewing of remote cameras form a designated server... So i will suffer it for that and that only... Lol
