    Mini Remote Sensor Connector

I have put my mini in the glove box and I have taken the mini apart to get the remote sensor to come out of the case, however it is not long enough. I really don't want to have to cut the wires in order to make it longer so i have taken a few pics of the connectors and wanted to see if anyone here knows where I can get either end to these connectors so i can make it longer.

I know this is not a good practise, but I would just cut the harness in half and extend it by crimping extension wires in between the 3 wires.

That's what I would do... Or solder in extensions of the same gauge of wire, if you can.

solder extensions but if you are looking for another option it looks similar to a 3 prong power for a PC fan, you may be able to get one of those but I don't think they make extensions

Go to your local Apple store and ask them to order this part for you.

Part #922-7318 It shouldn't cost you any more than $20. It's $18 direct from Apple, but they might mark it up a tad.

This is the ir cable with the ir board still attached. This will give you a spare if you mess anything up, or it will give you the ability to put it back to stock.
    Failure is not an option....

It's installed by default on every version of Windows.

Thanks for all the help. I just ended up splicing the wire and adding to it, put about 3 feet on it and it works great.
